On our first full day in the park, we decided to head up to Logan Pass and hike to the Hidden Lake Overlook.

2
I should have known this wasn't going to be easy, even the white sign warned about the conditions. Being that I am from sea level, I found I had issues with breathing and feeling like I was never getting enough oxygen into my lungs.

So we head out from the Visitors Center, at this point, there isn't too much snow and the boardwalk was partially clear.
5
So up we go. I had no true idea that we would be hiking up to that mountain. I was amazed how things never seemed to be getting any closer, no matter how far we hiked. These mountains are truly enormous!
6
As we are climbing, I stop to take a picture of the passing scenery, also using it as a way to catch my breath.
7
8
Still hiking and still climbing and still having issues breathing, but I keep telling myself that I can make it.
9
I decided to take a photos of how far I have already climbed. You can barely make out the Visitors Center any more.
10
Still climbing and following the trail of people ahead of me.
11
Another look back, realizing how far I have climbed and knowing I am still so far away.
12
13
No, this is not Hidden Lake, just a little pond formed by melting snow.
14
We now have leveled off, and are almost to the overlook.
15
Why do I feel he is laughing at me?
16
And I have finally made it to the Hidden Lake Overlook, the lake is still 1.5 miles away. And just in case you are asking, No way in hell am I hiking that!
17
Hidden Lake still has ice chunks floating in it.

On our way back down. Still had to be careful not to fall of the edge in a few areas.
32
Almost done. I know I look like it was a piece of cake, but trust me, it was a killer hike!

Almost back to the Visitors Center
